We as dentists treat patients who are fully awake and aware of what is happening around them. It’s not easy!

It doesn’t take much to retract the cheek with the mirror gently and softly.

It doesn’t take much to stop the procedure for a bit and ask the patient if she is ok.

It doesn’t take much to offer them a pain killer once the procedure is done.

It doesn’t take much to just chat with the family members who have been waiting in the reception for the procedure to get over.

All these are acts you will expect if you were in a hospital and your parents were the patients.

Do them regularly. It helps you sleep better.
