I have always wondered- can one set monetary targets in health care? If yes, then how does one achieve it?

Let’s say one decides to do 100 dental implants in a year, now what does one do?

So I asked this question to my mentor and this is how one attempts to achieve the target-

  1. Make the community in which the clinic is aware that the clinic provides dental implants.

  2. Make the surrounding general dentist aware about your unique skills so that they can refer or call you as a consultant.

  3. Start upgrading your own skills to add complicated procedures like pterygoid and zygoma implants in the practice.

  4. Start doing open days and seminars on dental implants to establish yourself as an authority in the field.

If you do not set a goal, you will always be foing random things. However if you do set one, atleast now you know where you want to go, how to reach there is a question with many answers and every single one of them is worth trying!
